I’m Billy Davidson, I’ve been making a full time income on the Internet for the last 5 years. I learnt how to make money online by purchasing various training courses I found on the Internet. I continue to buy most major new courses because even though I’ve learnt a lot about the Internet over the years, it’s impossible for anyone to know everything. The internet is constantly changing, and staying on top of new developments is a large part of being successful.

The course everyone’s talking about right now is Kaci Kennedy’s Pin Profits. So naturally I bought it, went through it, and implemented what I learnt inside. Here’s my review of the program…

What is Pin Profits?

Pin Profits is a video training course by Kaci Kennedy about making money online with Pinterest. It comes with software which automates the process the course teaches, but more on the software later.

Before going on I’d like to address 2 of the most common questions I receive whenever I write a review of a training course about making money online.

The first question is: Do I need to know a lot about computers and the Internet?

The answer: No, absolutely not! You only need very basic computer skills to be able to make money online. I’ve been making money online for years and I still don’t know all that much about computers!

The second question: can I make money even if I don’t have my own business or anything to sell?

The answer: Yes, you can!

There are many ways for people who don’t have their own business to make money online.

The money making method the Pin Profits course talks about is known as “affiliate marketing”. This is a process where businesses give you the opportunity to send visitors to their websites and will pay you on a commission basis whenever any of the visitors you send purchases what they’re selling.

With the Pin Profits method the way we do this is to send visitors from Pinterest to our blogs and from our blogs to sites willing to pay us commissions.

If you don’t already have a blog you’ll find a video at the end of the Pin Profits course which shows you how to set them up for free. It’s very easy to do: if you made your way to this website all by yourself you definitely have all the skills you need to create your own free blogs.

Pin Profits isn’t a course about affiliate marketing though. It’s a course about understanding Pinterest and how to generate traffic from it to monetise in any way you choose.

In the Pin Profits course Kaci talks about how it’s still possible to post your affiliate links (tracking links provided to you by the sites who will be paying you commissions) on Pinterest, but I wouldn’t recommend doing that. Pinterest is starting to get upset with people doing this, so it would be a much better idea to use the strategies you learn in the course to direct traffic from Pinterest to your new blog (or blogs you may already have) before trying to monetise your traffic with affiliate offers (or however else you want to monetise it).

Who is Pin Profits For?

Pin Profits is a course designed for anyone who isn’t already aware of the moneymaking potential of Pinterest and using it for that purpose.

If you already have a good understanding of how to generate traffic from Pinterest then you probably won’t gain much by getting the Pin Profits course. It’s much more suitable for people who are new to making money online, and people like me who already have an online business but don’t know how to take advantage of Pinterest for traffic generation.

In that sense I’m glad I went through this course, both in terms of the traffic I’m already getting from Pinterest and the long term gains which are sure to follow. I now have the opportunity to stay on top of developments as Pinterest matures, which will give me an advantage over my competitors in the markets I work in if they come to the site later than I did, and most of them will.

What about the software that comes with the Pin Profits training? It’s not really something you need in my opinion. Most of what we do on Pinterest to send visitors to our own blogs and websites doesn’t take much time to do anyway, and it tends to be quite enjoyable because we’re basically just using the site like we would if we were using it just for fun, there’s just a few small differences.

The real value of the Pin Profits program is in the training you get, I wouldn’t really even recommend using the software! Just do the work manually, you’ll get much better results that way. The “human touch” counts for a lot on social networks like Pinterest.

I would have liked if a PDF version of the course had been included because it would have been faster to go through, instead the training is delivered in video format only. On the plus side it’s all very concisely presented by Kaci, so you can literally start implementing what you learn on the very same day you start going through the course.

In conclusion, Pin Profits is a great course for those who want to get started making money online. It’s also suitable for those who are already making money online but don’t understand how to generate traffic from Pinterest.
